Your Journey
– There are a lot of steps involved when building a pool. But that doesn’t mean it should be stressful. Sit back, relax, and let us take care of the hard part so you can enjoy the easy part…. Swimming in your new dream pool!
Step 1
Design & Preliminaries
The moment you make the exciting decision to proceed with you ASAP Pools construction, our team will be coordinating the necessary professionals to ensure all design, preliminary works, soil testing, engineering and approvals are sought prior to us proceeding to preparing your site for excavation and earthworks.
Step 2
Earthworks
Once we’ve got all the plans and approvals in place, it’s time to send in the machines to turn dirt and dig your pool. This is where the pool building process becomes thrilling and eye-opening! A huge amount of dirt will be excavated and removed from your property to make way for formwork to commence. Professional excavation drivers are engaged to protect nearby important assets in your home, above and below ground!
Step 3
Framework & Structural Steel
What started out as a dream to build your custom pool is quickly becoming a reality, with a big hole now in your yard, ready for the formwork to commence. This is where your pool builders will commence installing structural steel, formwork and electrical and plumbing “rough ins” in preparation for your concrete pour.
Step 4
Shotcreting
The shotcreting process is fantastic to watch as your new pool really starts to take shape. Concrete is sprayed and smoothed by experienced Shotcreters and within a couple of short hours, your concrete pool shell has been formed and begins the curing process. Curing for approximately 4 weeks is important to the quality of the finished product prior to any internal lining being added to the pool.
Step 5
Coping & Tiling
The tiling band along the waterline of your pool and the coping tiles on the pool edge are very important to your overall desired finished look. We use best-in-class local tilers with decades of experience to ensure you receive a premium tiling finish. There are so many stunning combinations of tiles to choose from nowadays, our team will gladly provide any support you require in your decision making process
Step 6
Fencing & Safety
Correctly installing and ensuring your pool fencing and latches are up to government standards is an absolute must. There are a lot of options for fencing that meet regulations nowadays, so our team can help you to consider your property and the available options for the greatest aesthetic and safety outcome. We supply and install your choice of fencing and arrange for your new pool to be inspected by a Pool Safety Certifier, a safety certificate produced and your new pool be registered with QBCC.
Step 7
Filtration
Not all filtration systems are the same and not all pools require the same filtration systems, so it’s important your pool is assessed to ensure you’re installing the correct filtration system for your needs. ASAP Pools takes care of this process for you and your filtration system will be installed, ready for when the pool has water!
Step 8
Pebblecrete
We’ve come a long way in just a few weeks - from a bare piece of land to a giant hole in your yard filled with timber and steel, to now a concrete shell, awaiting water. The pebblecreting day is the most anticipated day of the whole process - as you start to see what the finished product will look like, and by day’s end, your pool will be filling up with water. In many cases, you can begin to enjoy your pool the same day, or within 24 hours. You can see the excitement on the kids’ faces as they watch the waterline rise!
Step 9
Dive Right In & Enjoy
You will likely have had a hose in your pool overnight and have woken to a full pool, ready for your family to enjoy. We take so much pride in what we do here at ASAP Pools, that today is what it’s all about for our team also - seeing our clients’ pure joy as they get to experience their new addition and investment for the first time. As you can see, the ASAP Pools team takes care of the entire process, from first concept right through to handover and completion of your stunning new concrete pool.
